David was born in Florida, traveled the world with his mother and father as a military family and finally settled in Iowa when he turned 9. Courtney was born and raised in small town Iowa. We met in 1997 (ages 9 and 7) and became friends and  married in 2009! After we got married David went on to get his Doctorate of Chiropractic and along with he woodworking currently runs a small town chiropractic practice and is also a volunteer firefighter and EMT. Courtney got her Batchelor of Arts degrees in Graphic Design as well as Public Relations and Marketing and now does a lot of the designing of our custom flags, as well as freelance graphic design and photography. Courtney is also a volunteer on the local fire department. We also have four loving children Isabella (born in 2015), Gabriella (born in 2017), Stephen (born in 2019) and Libertie (born in 2022).

Our business, Blaber’s Creations was born out of a hobby when we decided to make a Christmas present for a family member and a couple friends and then got commissioned to make a few others, then word spread from there. We are still growing and hope to be able to open a small store front soon!
